At Wheco, efficient warehouse operations are essential to keeping our supply chain running smoothly and ensuring customers receive quality products on time. Our Warehouse Supervisor play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, leading teams, and upholding safety and operational standards across the warehouse. We are looking for a hands‑on, organised leader who can drive productivity, support staff, and keep daily warehouse functions on track.
Lead warehouse operations. Maintain accuracy. Keep the flow moving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and participate in daily warehouse operations
- Ensure safe storage of all merchandise and equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory; report discrepancies identified during walkabouts or counts
- Support quality control, including identifying poorly packaged or damaged items
- Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff
- Allocate daily workloads and monitor performance
- Assist Managers in maintaining Health & Safety compliance; ensure warehouse cleanliness and order
- Coordinate and participate in bi‑monthly inventory counts
- Plan and organise inventory layout and space utilisation (bays/bin locations)
- Schedule and prioritise workload to meet operational needs
- Oversee routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment
- Conduct safety and security checks (trolleys, ladders, equipment)
- Arrange weekly toolbox talks to reinforce safety and operational guidelines
- Manage timekeeping, attendance registers, and staff discipline
- Report incidents and communicate non‑stock or damage issues to Managers
- Ensure adherence to Wheco policies, procedures, and SOPs (Inbound/Outbound/Housekeeping)
- Assist Managers with staff appraisals and weekly staff development
- Respond to after-hours alarm activations when required; report security issues
- Support both inbound and outbound stock processes

Skills and Requirements:
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and SOPs
- Physically fit and able to perform warehouse tasks
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective teamwork and leadership abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
- Calm, professional handling of discrepancies
- Solid administrative and reporting skills
- Experience in staff discipline, IR & HR fundamentals
- Grade 12
- 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
- 5+ years supervisor experience
- Understanding of Health & Safety, inventory control, and warehouse operations
- MS Office proficiency (advantageous)
